River City Grace Community Church (RCG) is a non-denominational church located in Northern California.
RCG's main design needs are centered around weekly worship and equipping services delivered via livestream on YouTube, weekly updates from the pastoral staff to the congregation, and physical materials including weekly bulletins and informational brochures.
As the volunteer lead graphic designer for RCG, I am responsible for ensuring adherence to a consistent visual style and designing graphics and materials that are specifically intended to "fall into the background" and enhance the content being delivered. My goal is always, first and foremost, clear communication. Typography, color, imagery, and graphical elements are all employed with this goal in mind. While of secondary importance, it is nevertheless valuable that the church adhere to a defined design language, which ensures visual consistency and aids in associating specific elements with the overall message of the church.
Below, you'll find examples of various implementations of the RCG visual style, including livestream graphics, and video title screens and thumbnails. All of the designs were conceptualized, created, and implemented by me, with the approval of RCG's board of elders and deacons.
